Summer means grilling in our house.  That means a lot of beef burgers, hot dogs, fun toppings, and sweet treats.  With our new patio, we are outside ALL the time, and really eat almost every meal out of doors.  Without fail, weekend lunches and every evening we are grilling and eating outside.  Today, I am going to share my Avocado Lime Hamburger Spread with you to add some great taste to your grilling recipes.

Avocado Lime Hamburger Spread

Avocado Lime Hamburger Spread

2 Ripe Avocados, smashed with a fork

Juice of one lime

Half of a jalapeño pepper {optional}

1 garlic clove, minced

1 teaspoon cumin

Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1.  In a cut the avocados in half, and scoop out the flesh into a small bowl.
  2. Use a fork to mash the avocado until it is nice and smooth.  Then, add the remaining ingredients.  Stir until well combined, and refrigerate until you are ready to serve it.

**This should be served immediately, as the avocados don’t stay fresh for very long.  It will keep in the refrigerator for about 2-3 days.

This is basically a guacamole that has a lot of lime flavor. It is amazing on the Market District Gourmet Seasoned Beef Burgers that I love to pick up at Giant Eagle.  Giant Eagle is my go to for all our summer grilling.  I love picking out my families favorites and adding some extra flavor to our meals.  I served the Gourmet Guacamole Spread on the Jalapeno and BBQ flavored Market District Gourmet Seasoned Beef Burgers from Giant Eagle.

Hamburgers

So tasty! My older two happened to be shopping with me, and chose the Cheddar Bacon burgers.  So good!  And since our little one isn’t a huge fan of ground beef, Giant Eagle thankfully carries Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs so I could be sure to get some to grill for her.

Of course, we have to top it all off with treats.  So I served the burgers alongside some Aquafina Sparkling in Black Cherry Dragonfruit and some Breyer’s Ice Cream.  Getting chunky, flavored ice cream is a huge treat for our kids!  So the Breyer’s Blasts is always a favorite to finish off our meal.

Giant Eagle has everything we need to grill and keep the fun going outside.  Kerosene, meat, desserts, drinks….everything!  What is your favorite grilled hamburger topping?
