Disney Junior Breakfast Experience on the Disney Fantasy

Did you know you can eat breakfast with your favorite Disney, Jr. characters on the Disney Fantasy? Yes, you can!  Character dining isn’t offered as abundantly on the Disney Cruise Line fleet of ships, as it is in the parks. However, we were able to enjoy this super fun breakfast on our Disney Fantasy sailing, and I am excited to share our experience with you today!

The Disney Jr. Breakfast takes place on one of your days at sea, in Animator’s Palate.  This was on Sunday for us, our first full day at sea.  We had signed up for this breakfast experience, when we were able to complete on online check in 75-days before sailing.  I am so glad!  They have limited seating for this experience, and since my daughter is JUST getting to the age where she is starting to be too old for Disney Jr, I really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity with her.

We arrived at 8:30AM, and we were seated with another family.  Since it was just the two of us, it gave us a change to meet some fellow Disney cruisers.  This experience is menu based, not a buffet or family style, and there is no additional fee.  The menu is pretty basic, and very kid friendly.  Fruits, omelets and eggs, as well as grown up dishes, and of course Mickey Waffles!

While you are in Animator’s Palate, only half of the restaurant is set for this meal, and they play Disney, Jr. cartoons on the big screens around the restaurant.  Also, when each character comes out, they play the theme song from his/her show.  Super fun!  As with any typical Disney character meal, the characters make their way around to your table to sign autographs, pose for pictures, and interact with your family.  We saw Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Jake, and Mickey Mouse.

I absolutely loved the opportunity for this on our sailing.  Sea days are wonderful, and the Disney Fantasy definitely isn’t lacking in onboard activities.  However, it was nice to start our day with a different breakfast atmosphere and experience, since we eat at Cabana’s everyday for breakfast.  The character interaction was wonderful, and it is such a fun experience.   I highly recommend your family take advantage of this fun, extra magical experience when you sail the Disney Fantasy!
