Disney’s Beach Club Resort ranks WAY at the top of my list as one of my favorite Disney Resorts. I know, I say that about every resort we have enjoyed! But to be honest, I have really enjoyed each of them for different reasons. The Beach Club stands out to me in terms of location, theming, and the amazing pool. Today, I want to share my thoughts on Disney’s Beach Club Resort with you!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is located in the Epcot area. This is something we LOVED about the Beach Club. We could walk both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Epcot was more like a hop, skip, and jump we were so close. Disney’s Hollywood Studios was maybe a 12 minute walk? Or so? We could also access Hollywood Studios by a boat. We took the boat once or twice, but found it was actually slower than walking. We could also walk to the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf course. This makes for a very fun activity on a “down day”, when your family wants something fun to do, and you aren’t planning a day at the parks.
Stormalong Bay is, in my opinion, one of the top Walt Disney World Resort pools on property. It is definitely more than just a pool. Stormalong Bay has the tallest waterslide of all the resort pools, and it is shaped like a shipwrecked pirate ship. There is a section of the pool that is sand bottom, and even a small area where you can build sandcastles. It also has a section that is a lazy river. We loved it! There are quiet pools at the Beach Club, but we spent a lot of time at Stormalong Bay. If you decide to stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, be sure to work a day in to enjoy the pool!
The dining at the Beach Club is amazing, as well. Because of it’s location on the Boardwalk, there are WAY more dining options at your fingertips than some of the other resorts. We found their Quick Service Dining Location, the Beach Club Marketplace, to have great options. Also, lunch at Beaches and Cream is not to be missed. We enjoyed the walk up window at Beaches and Cream to get afternoon ice cram treats. It is more than just “grab and go”, they actually make some of the sundaes and other ice cream creations in the to go area. Cape May Cafe is home to breakfast with Minnie and her friends, as well as an amazing seafood buffet for dinner. It also has lounges, and a signature restaurant~The Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Our room at the Beach Club was on the concierge level of the resort. We could actually get a Standard View~Club Level Room for less than a Garden View without the concierge level benefits, so we went for it! Club Level is amazing, and I would definitely recommend it. We had a room with two queens, and a roll away. We even had a view of Spaceship Earth. Since we were on Club Level, we had keyed access to the floor, as well as access to a lounge. The lounge served breakfast, snacks, appetizers, and desserts daily. It also had drink stations, as well as a refrigerator stocked with alcohol, soda, and water. Awesome!
Our family absolutely loved our stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Having stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, as well, I feel as if both of these resorts give you a great experience AND proximity to all the Disney parks. Do you think you will be staying there on a future trip?
