Hi! It’s Jilly. Last summer we moved from Arizona all the way to New York. I loved our time in Arizona. The weather is beautiful the majority of the year, and there is SO much to do there! October is the perfect time to visit because, while the rest of the country is starting to get snow *brrrr*, Arizona is in the 80s and 90s! Ah! So nice.
Here’s a list of some of the best places to go in Phoenix.
There are splash pads located around the Valley, like this one at Rio Vista Park. They are open from April 15th to October 15th.
Hike Thunderbird Mountain
New River Trail– great for jogging, biking, and rollerblading.
Spring Training baseball games all over the Valley
There are also a lot of really great parks and community pools located throughout the Phoenix metropolis area. I hope you enjoy your time in beautiful Arizona!
P.S. – If you’re a local you can get culture passes for the museums and the zoo through the library. Anyone living in Maricopa County can get a Phoenix library card, not just people living in “Phoenix”. Also, if you are a student at Midwestern University you can get a Glendale library card, even if you live in another city. That gives you more chances to get the culture passes you want!
