Frugal and Easy Fall DIY Decorating

Fall has arrived. Well, kind of.  The mornings feel like fall here, but by the afternoon it is summer again!  I waited, until two weeks into September, to start decorating for fall. I just couldn’t help it!  As we move into October, I will for sure be adding more decor, namely to the front porch.  However, for now the wreath is on the door, and I resurrected some past fall decorations and added a few others to our living space.  As I was doing so, I realized how easy, and frugal most of these projects are, so I thought I would share them with you today!

I started with the fireplace area.  We don’t have a lot of mantel space, since our TV hangs above it.  So that limits the height I can add to the top of the mantel. That being said, I took a different approach this year.  I added my Ribbon Ruffled Pumpkin, Fall Blocks, and a few other fun items to the floor area.  I kind of like it!

Next up was the kitchen table.  I distressed this cute crate a long time ago, and have found it to be so useful!  It is constantly being changed out for the season.  This fall, I utilized it as a centerpiece.  I found some artificial flowers at the Dollar Tree, spray painted Mason jars with a gold metallic finish, and they all fit so nicely in the crate!

Finally, the front door.  I dismantled my previous wreath, so all I was left with was the foam circle.  While at the Dollar Tree, buying the pretty fall flowers, I came across this adorable chevron fall ribbon.  Love it!  So, it became my wreath.  I wrapped the wreath in the ribbon.  Then, I followed the same technique I used to make the Ribbon Ruffled Pumpkin to apply the ribbon to the foam wreath.  Finally, I added a cross I also found at the Dollar Tree and done!
