Do you use Pinterest to menu plan? I do! Next to Google Calendar, it’s open while I’m searching the web and planning our menus for the week. How do I use Pinterest to menu plan?
I rearranged my food board a few weeks ago, and broke it down into different categories now. I also deleted some pins that I had made and hadn’t cared for, as well as some that were multiples. So, I open my Pinterest account, and I try to choose something from each of my food boards. My main board, Chicken Dishes, gives me a lot of ideas. Then, I hit Side Dishes and Breads for some recipes to go along with our meals. Before I know it, my menu is planned, I’m inspired, and my grocery list is made.
I don’t want Pinterest to be a time waster for me, or a big collection of a to do list. I don’t need anymore “to do” lists! Instead, I try to actually make the recipes I pin, otherwise I feel like I’ve wasted my time pinning, dreaming, and planning. And then I don’t have anything to show for it.
Do you use Pinterest to meal plan? If so, what are your suggestions?
Now, on to what we are eating in our house this week:
Sunday: Pizza Night {grilled pizza/salad}
Monday: Roast/Carrots/Potatoes in the crock pot
Tuesday: Cilantro Lime Chicken/Beef Tacos/Rice
Wednesday: Melt in Your Mouth Chicken/Cheesey Potatoes/Broccoli
Thursday: Stromboli/Salad
Friday: Bratwurst/Sweet Potato Fries/Green Beans
Saturday: Santa Fe Chicken Tortilla Soup
Sounds all so yummy! You'll have to let us know which recipe is your favorite!
I try to pick at least 1 or 2 new recipes from my Pinterest boards each week when I menu plan too! I really need to go through and clean them up like you did, there are quite a few I've tried and need to remove. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
Following you from Menu mael planning Mondays! Have a Good week!
