Menu Planning Tip: I’ve noticed, in looking over menus from the last few weeks, that my menu includes at least two crock pot meals a week. I think it’s becoming my favorite kitchen appliance! And, I’ve come across some recipes that don’t involve “cream of ‘whatever’ soup” in the crockpots. That’s nice, because sometimes crockpot meals become unhealthy because of those soups or other additives. Do you use your crockpot very often?
If so, what do you like to make in it-breakfast, lunch, dinner?
If not, why not?
As I look over this week’s menu, I see that it’s on the “simple” side again. We are throwing a second birthday party for my daughter next Sunday, so I feel like keeping it easy and familiar will help me get the details together for her party, and still keep up with my household tasks.
Sunday: Pizza Night (I use this Beer Battered Crust recipe…it’s the best!)
Monday: Chicken Taco Soup (this isn’t the exact recipe I used…it just inspired me :). Depending how mine turned out, I will share the combination I made.)/Chips/Salsa
Tuesday: Steak, Baked Potatoes, Salad
Wednesday: Cinnamon Oat Pancakes, Waffles, Bacon
Thursday: Pioneer Woman’s Chicken Tenders, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans
Friday: Appetizer Night- Stromboli, Mini Pizzas, Nachos
Saturday: Hamburgers, French Fries, Carrots
