Frozen Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

Frozen Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate….yes please!  Oh my stars!  I can’t tell you how much I love this recipe!  Maybe the fact that I’ve had one almost every afternoon for the last week?  Maybe because I added Nutella one day…yum!?  Maybe because it’s super easy?  All of those reasons…..and that it was 100+ degrees in Ohio made it the perfect afternoon treat last week…and this week…and probably next week, too!  In fact, I’ve made it so much that I almost have the recipe memorized :).

Seriously, it’s not as bad for you as it looks.  It has very little added sugar in it, and I made it with skim milk and non fat Cool Whip on top.

Must Try Monday {Frozen Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate}
Frozen Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate {adapted from Love and Laundry}

Ingredients:
*3 squares of baking chocolate
*1 cup of skim milk
*1/8 cup of sugar
*2-3 cups ice
*1 teaspoon cocoa powder
*2 teaspoons peanut butter {or Nutella :)}

Directions:
1.  Over medium heat, warm the milk, chocolate squares, and sugar.  Stir it until it’s smooth.  Remove from the heat and let it cool a bit.
2.  In a blender, combine the milk mixture, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and ice.  Blend until smooth.
3.  Top with whip cream and serve!

I hope you’ll give this fun sweet treat a try!  It was amazing!

  6. There is a famous restaurant in NYC which is really special for kids called, Serendipity it is known for their frozen hot chocolate and mega sized desserts. I think you topped them on adding peanut butter.
