My daughter is turning 2 on Sunday, and her birthday is going to be a pink and green ladybug theme. I ordered the cute decorations from Party Express, her tutu is finished, and I finished one centerpiece on Sunday afternoon.
My thoughts are turning to food now, as I need to iron out the last details. Traditionally, we’ve made cupcakes for our kids’ birthdays, but for hers I want to try something different-cake pops.
What I like about the cake pop idea is the smaller serving, and the decorating options. They’re basically balls of cake on a stick, and the decorating will be fun (I hope), and you can really make cake pops look like anything.
I love how these are arranged on the plate. With cake pops, you can just dip and drizzle, and it will look pretty.
These are my inspiration for my decorating. I bought some food markers at JoAnns…we’ll see how they work.
Another no bake version-Rice Krispie pops.
How do you use food to decorate, or add to your party theme?
