Princess Dining Locations at Walt Disney World

Dining with Disney Princesses is at the top of the list for most Walt Disney World Resort guests.  Why wouldn’t it be?  After all, icons such as Cinderella and Snow White attract princesses of all ages to the Disney parks each year! And, living with a princess since the day she was born, our family makes it a point to enjoy a princess dining experience on every trip.  This “tradition” started when our youngest was 2, and enjoyed her first meal at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.  We have enjoyed every princess dining experience at Walt Disney World to date, and I want to share each of those with you and why we love them!

Princess Dining Experience #1:  Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table is located in Magic Kingdom Park, inside Cinderella’s Castle.  This is one of the most coveted Walt Disney World advanced dining reservations that guests are after, and rightfully so.  This dining experience is not only inside Cinderella’s Castle, but you also feel like royalty the moment you enter.  As you walk through the strong, sturdy wooden doors, you know you are in for a royal treat.

Cinderella is waiting for you for an autograph and photo opportunity.  Then, you are escorted upstairs to the dining area, overlooking Fantasyland. If you are as lucky as we are, you’ll have a seat near the windows and look out over Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel, and the rest of Fantasyland.  It’s beautiful! Cinderella’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We have had both breakfast and lunch there, and really enjoyed them equally.  You are given a “Wishing Star” and the wishing ceremony allows everyone in the room to make a wish!  Super cute!

As you eat, each princess enters the room to greet guests.  She makes her way to each table, and signs autographs and poses for photos.  Typically guests will see Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel. We love the atmosphere, menu, and the character interaction at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Princess Dining Experience #2:  Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast

The Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast is located at the Trattoria al Forno restaurant on Disney’s Boardwalk. This is a relatively new dining experience, but very popular nonetheless! The characters are there only for breakfast, so if seeing them is a “must”, then this should be at the top of your list of dining to book when your ADR window opens.

Here you will find Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Prince Eric, and Ariel.  This is the ONLY location on Walt Disney World property where you can dine with Rapunzel, Flynn, and Prince Eric.  This is also the only location you will see the princesses with their princes outside of a hard ticket party at Magic Kingdom. This is a must do for any Tangled fan! The characters lead the children through the dining area in a parade, which is very cute. Also, the menu is very good, but very kid friendly with breakfast favorites.  Pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc.

This experience is different from others in that it is NOT a buffet.  This is something we really appreciate, as we like to stay seated at our table and enjoy our meal without worrying about missing the characters or getting up to get food.  Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel, and Prince Eric are spot on with character interaction and sometimes visit each table more than once! This dining experience is great when you want to have a “down day” with no parks, but still have some Disney magic!  We love the character interaction, location, and that we can see princesses AND princes at this meal!

Princess Dining Experience #3:  1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  The princess dining experience at this location is only at dinner, so note that when you are booking your meal.  Breakfast is also character dining, but there are no princesses.  For your dinner experience here, you will see Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremayne, Drizella, and Anastasia.

Not only is the atmosphere of the Grand Floridian charming and amazing, but this is quite possibly the most fun of the princess dining experiences.  The step-sisters are hysterical, and play up their antics with all the guests. They make funny faces in the pictures, tease you just for the fun of it, and try to get you to be “evil” as well!  So fun! Then you have the sweet interaction between Cinderella and Prince Charming. Sometimes, they even dance together!

This location is buffet, and the food is SO good. I enjoy the Strawberry Soup, as well as a lot of the hot offerings.  The coffee crusted pork is fantastic, and it really is one of the better buffets as far as food quality. The all around experience at 1900 Park Fare for dinner is definitely a “must do”, and keeps us coming back every trip!

Princess Dining Experience #4:  Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is located in the World Showcase at EPCOT.  It is just steps away from the Royal Sommerhus, where you can find Anna and Elsa, in the Norway Pavilion.  While you can see several princesses here, the star is really Belle.  She greets you when you enter, and poses with you for a photo and to give autographs.

From there, you are led into the Royal Banquet Hall.  This is a combination of family style and buffet, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  The hot offerings are brought to your table family style, and then the cold offerings are on the buffet area. This is really nice, and the food is very authentic. Keep in mind, if you are looking for something VERY kid friendly and you do not have adventurous eaters, then breakfast is probably your best option here.  The lunch and dinner meals are VERY authentically Norwegian.

At Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, you will meet several princesses.  In our experience, we have seen Belle Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty.  I have heard that occasionally Jasmine or Mary Poppins will arrive as well.  However, as with all character dining, characters are always subject to change.  But rest assured, you will see some of your favorite princesses here!

So if  you had to choose one….what would you choose?!  I get asked this question a lot, and I lean toward choosing Cinderella’s Royal Table.  There is just something about dining in the castle, in the middle of Fantasyland.  And this adds to the meeting of many of the favorite princesses.  However, in the end, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them!

  1. We do not done at a lot of princess, character meals. That is probably because we have a son. One day, though, I might like to visit Cinderella’s Castle for a character meal because I have heard good things about it.

Hi do you know how Feb 2022 would be to eat at the restaurants like that? Are we able to take pictures with the princesses close by / no mask?
I just wanted to have an idea how is disney with Covid. thanks

    1. Currently, Walt Disney World requires masks to be worn indoors. So you can visit the princesses at Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom. They do allow distanced photos at this location, but you must be masked. Currently the only dining options with princesses are Cinderella’s Royal Table and Storybook Dining with Snow White at Wilderness Lodge.
