I know…I use my Crockpot all the time as soon as it gets even remotely chilly outside. It is seriously a kitchen appliance that I can’t live without. Maybe that’s why I have two of them. Tonight, I’m using it for Crockpot Creamy Italian Chicken. Wednesday, it’ll have a roast, carrots, onions, and potatoes simmering away to make dinner easy for my husband and the kids.
So, for today’s Tasty Tuesday recipes, I’m reposting some of my favorites for the slow cooker. Here they are, in no particular order.
**Santa Fe Chicken Tortilla Soup–This recipe has had 475 pageviews since I posted it about 2 weeks ago. It’s definitely one of our favorites!
**Potato Chowder-Potatoes will be super cheap these next two weeks or so-stock up! Even the bruised ones, or almost “bad” ones can be used for soup.
**Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches-I had to use my Pinterest picture..I have yet to take a good looking picture of this meal! My twins requested this as their birthday dinner-and it’s not til February.
So, have I convinced you to buy a crockpot yet? Or resurrect the one you have?
They’re on sale at Amazon.com this month, with a $5 rebate. Click here for more details.
Do you use your slow cooker very often? I’ve not attempted desserts in it yet, but I do have a recipe for Crockpot Cinnamon Rolls that I’d really like to try. How adventurous are you? Or do you stay away from your slow cooker because you think every recipe calls for “cream of blah, blah, blah” soups?
Please, share your favorite recipe or ideas for using your slow cooker in the comments. I’d love to see how you use it!
