When traveling with teens, most are looking for thrills, the bigger the better normally. Take a look with me and explore the top attractions for your teens at Universal Orlando. Plan a trip with your teen to experience these top five attractions, and maybe they will put down the phone and share in your thrilling adventure. If you aren’t a fan of roller coasters, that’s ok; nobody said you had to ride.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

My daughter and I love sharing Harry Potter books and movies. This ride allows us to live the experience of the most surreal indoor ride I have experienced. After we wound our way through the vivid tour of Hogwarts Castle; we soared high above the grounds with Harry Potter and friends on an unforgettable adventure coming face-to-face with an array of magical creatures!

Rip Ride Rockit

Oh my, this coaster is one for the books! I didn’t ride on our first, even our second trip, after our third trip I faced my own fears. There is an iPod on the ride harness and is loaded with all of your favorite hits and you can choose the soundtrack for the ride. I don’t even recall the song I chose! Reaching top speeds of 65 mph and towering 17 stories over Universal Studios. Orlando’s tallest roller coaster also features several exciting, “never been done” elements, including the world’s first non-inverting loop.

Revenge of the Mummy

This ride is unexpected with dark elements and speed. The Mummy has become my daughter’s favorite ride. As a dark ride goes it is completely different and fast! The ride catapulted us at speeds up to 45 mph in virtual darkness. While this may not be the fastest or tallest on the list, it is a thrill seeker favorite, because of all the unexpected elements.

Incredible Hulk Coaster

Accelerate from zero to 40 mph in two seconds flat with the force equal to that of a jet taking off an aircraft carrier. The world turns upside down as you experience a weightless “zero g” roll. All I could do was hang on and experience the rage, power and fury of the Hulk, smashing through the sky and plummeting down to earth on a high-speed roller coaster rampage of destruction.

If you ride these with your teens when you visit Universal Orlando, your vacation may even end up on their snap chat story. I will warn you that Rip Ride Rockit records you the entire ride; the kids will want to watch you scream in terror over and over again.
