The stick to your ribs food and family friendly menu are just the beginning! Add in teasing from the wait staff, a reminder to clean your plate if you want dessert, and mid century design….and you have a fun table service experience for your whole family!

Where is 50s Prime Time Cafe Located?

50s Prime Time Cafe is located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, on Echo Lake. As you enter the theme park, it is to your left. Just look for Gertie, the dinosaur!

50s Prime Time Cafe is right next to Hollywood and Vine ~ in fact, they are connected on the inside as they share a restroom.

What Can I Expect at 50s Prime Time Cafe?

First, you can expect theming and decor that is on point in so many ways. First, you enter to a 50s kitchen, Formica countertops and all! Each table in this restaurant makes you feel as if you are eating in someone’s kitchen. There are kitchen appliances, linoleum floors, formica countertops, black and white TVs, and decorative wallpaper at nearly every spot. Some even have a fake window with cute 1950s style curtains!

Second, you can expect the wait staff to be in character all the time. Every time we have eaten there, our server has introduced him or herself as “Cousin So and So”. They are there on “mama’s” behalf to make sure you eat all your vegetables so you can have dessert. Don’t even think about putting your elbows on the table…..your server will be sure to tell you ~ in a very loud and obnoxious way ~ that you have bad manners. Also, be expected to be scolded if you do not eat all your vegetables.

Seriously, they make it super fun! It’s part of the experience. However, if you prefer a calmer meal, you can simply request that your server not engage in teasing you.

The Menu at 50s Prime Time Cafe

We love the menu at 50s Prime Time Cafe because it is so family friendly. It’s one of those Disney restaurants where we can find “normal” to use foods. Fried chicken, pork chops, mashed potatoes, pot roast, etc. I know for sure when we go to 50s, our whole family will find food we like, and the kids won’t complain.

As is pretty typical at all Disney restaurants, the portions are quite large. So, you could essentially share some entrees amongst your family if you would like. Also, we find it is a good value and one of the more economical locations to eat.

The best dessert, in our opinion, is the PB&J Milkshake!

There are very few table service options at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Thankfully, 50s Prime Time is a good one, and fairly easy to book. You will certainly leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face!
