The Story of A Week Away
A Week Away is a faith-based film about teens at a Christian camp. As with all movies, there is drama and lessons to be learned! Some of the best life lessons are taught when you are away at camp, right?
Special Features of A Week Away
A Week Away stars Kevin Quinn, who is known for his starring role on the Disney Channel show Bunk’d. My daughter is a HUGE fan of Bunk’d, and watches it continuously on Netflix. This will be one of her favorite movies for sure! It also stars Bailee Madison, who has millions of social media followers and has been in dozens of movies. These very talented young actors are perfect together in this film.
They are both a bit past their teen years, but they fit right in playing teenagers at this fictional sleep away camp. The feel good theme and setting of the movie are both a good combination for a family friendly movie.
Not only do you have two, wonderful young actors. But, viewers will recognize some of their favorite Christian artists on the soundtrack. For King and Country, Amy Grant, and Michael W. Smith are just a few who make an appearance in the soundtrack.
I am super excited to watch this with our family! We are always looking for a new to us show or movie to watch on Fridays while we have pizza. And, my inner teenagers loves a good teenage romance/musical! What about you?
