Best Attractions for Toddlers at EPCOT

EPCOT is often, in my opinion, overlooked as an amazing theme park for kiddos. Even the littlest ones can enjoy themselves at EPCOT! Actually, our kids have loved EPCOT ever since a very young age. Visiting EPCOT with toddlers can be a magical experience with the right plan. Here are the top attractions perfectly suited for your little ones.

Having a list of attractions and experiences for each of your days in the Walt Disney World theme parks is one of the key things you can do before you arrive. In fact, when I send guests a “first steps” email after booking, one of those includes making a list of 3-4 “MUSTS” per person in your family for your Walt Disney World trip-and the little ones are no exception!

Planning a trip to EPCOT with young children is easy–and this is your must have list for your next visit!

Tips for Visiting EPCOT with Toddlers

Frozen Ever After

Located in the Norway Pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, this enchanting boat ride brings the beloved movie “Frozen” to life. Your toddlers will be mesmerized by the stunning animatronics of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and other characters from the film. The ride features gentle drops and beautiful scenes from the movie, including Elsa’s ice palace where she performs “Let It Go.” The combination of familiar characters, magical effects, and catchy songs makes this a must-do attraction. Since it’s one of EPCOT’s most popular rides, consider using Disney’s Lightning Lane MultiPass service to avoid lengthy wait times, especially during peak hours.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

This relatively new 4D trackless ride in the France Pavilion shrinks guests down to the size of a rat for a fun and adventurous ride through Gusteau’s restaurant. Toddlers will love the immersive experience as they scurry beneath oven burners, dodge falling food, and experience the sights, sounds, and even smells of a busy French kitchen. The ride is smooth with no scary elements, making it perfect for young children. The oversized kitchen props and beautiful scenes create an immersive experience for everyone in your family!

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

Located in World Nature, this gentle clamshell ride follows the story of “Finding Nemo.” The ride combines real aquarium views with projected animated characters, creating the illusion that Nemo and friends are swimming alongside real sea life. After the ride, you can explore one of the largest saltwater aquariums in the world. Toddlers will be fascinated by the colorful fish, majestic rays, sharks, dolphins, and sea turtles. The pavilion also features interactive displays at children’s height and plenty of seating areas where parents can relax while your little ones watch the fish and sea life swim around.

Turtle Talk with Crush

This interactive show, located near The Seas with Nemo & Friends, is SO much fun for the toddler age group. The 15-minute experience features Crush, the laid-back sea turtle from “Finding Nemo,” who actually talks with audience members in real-time. The technology is seamless, creating the illusion that Crush is really responding to your child’s questions. The theater has a carpeted area up front where kids can sit close to the screen, and Crush often directs his questions to the youngest viewers. It’s a perfect entertainment option that combines technology with magical character interaction.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana

This newer addition to EPCOT is a self-guided walking trail in World Nature that celebrates the cycle of water. Toddlers will be delighted by the interactive water features that respond to touch. They can redirect flowing streams, create music with water, and watch as water springs up in surprising patterns. The lush landscaping features beautiful rock formations and tropical plants, creating a serene environment. Occasional appearances by Moana add to the excitement. Since this attraction involves water play, consider bringing a change of clothes or a light poncho if you don’t want your little ones to get wet. This is quite possibly the MOST beautiful area in all 4 of the theme parks–Disney Imagineers did an AMAZING job when they designed and built Journey of Water.

Living with the Land

This relaxing boat ride in The Land Pavilion takes guests through greenhouses showcasing innovative growing techniques. While the agricultural focus might seem advanced for toddlers, the 15-minute journey captivates young children with its colorful fruits and vegetables growing in unusual ways. They’ll be amazed to see pumpkins shaped like Mickey Mouse, fish swimming beneath floating plants, and enormous lemons. The gentle pace and constant visual stimulation make this a perfect break from more stimulating attractions. It’s also indoors and air-conditioned, providing some much needed rest and AC on those hot Florida afternoons!

Spaceship Earth

Housed inside EPCOT’s park icon, this slow-moving dark ride takes guests through the history of human communication. The ride is gentle and unhurried, making it perfect for toddlers who might be overwhelmed by the park’s sensory stimulation. The time-travel theme features scenes from ancient Egypt, the Renaissance, and beyond, with impressive audio-animatronic figures and soothing narration. The darkness can be calming for overstimulated little ones, and many parents find their toddlers either fascinated by the changing scenes or peacefully napping by the end of the ride. Let’s be honest-it’s even slow moving and long enough to get in a quick nap or feed the baby while you’re riding!

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

This often-overlooked boat ride in the Mexico Pavilion is a hidden gem for families with toddlers. The gentle attraction follows Donald Duck and his feathered friends, Panchito and José Carioca, on a musical journey through Mexico. The colorful scenes, cheerful music, and playful storyline keep young children engaged throughout the brief ride. The pavilion itself, designed to resemble a Mexican plaza at twilight, creates a magical atmosphere that feels both exciting and intimate. This ride typically has shorter wait times, making it perfect for filling gaps in your schedule or when toddlers need a quick entertainment option.

EPCOT with Toddlers Pro Tips:

EPCOT offers a surprising variety of toddler-friendly attractions that blend entertainment with gentle sensory experiences. From magical boat rides to interactive shows, there’s something to keep little ones engaged throughout your visit.

When planning your day, consider scheduling these toddler-friendly attractions between meal times and breaks. The World Showcase pavilions also offer plenty of open spaces where toddlers can safely explore while parents enjoy the international atmosphere.

Remember that EPCOT is a large park that requires significant walking, so bring a comfortable stroller and plan for regular rest periods. Many of these attractions provide perfect opportunities to sit down in air-conditioning—a blessing for both parents and tired toddlers during a busy Disney day.

With these eight wonderful attractions on the list for your EPCOT visit, you’ll create magical memories with your little ones while experiencing the wonder of Disney’s celebration of human achievement, international culture, and imagination at EPCOT. Your toddlers might not remember every detail, but the magic of Disney and quality time together will make your EPCOT adventure well worth the trip!
