Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on Disney Cruise Line
While our family was on the Disney Dream, I decided that would be an ideal time to give my daughter her first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience. We have been to the parks six times since she was born……and the little princess has never had a princess makeover from a Fairy Godmother in Training. Our Disney cruise was the perfect time to take advantage of it, and I am going to share our experience with you today!
First, we had decided that when our ship docked in Nassau, we were going to just stay onboard. Nassau didn’t offer a lot of activities we were super excited about, and after reading a lot of Disney Cruise Line blogs and pages, I decided it was best to just take advantage of an “empty” ship and enjoy all the amenities onboard. One of those being the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Our Nassau day also happened to be our formal night. So why not let Natalie go to dinner all dolled up from the Boutique?
We booked our time for after lunch, in the mid afternoon. This gave us time to relax in the morning, eat breakfast and lunch together, and then go our separate ways for the day. The boys headed off to the Kids’ Clubs, and Natalie and I were off to the boutique. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the Disney Dream is somewhat “small”. If I remember correctly, there were only about 6 or 7 chairs for makeovers in the boutique. This place is a princess’s dream. The boutique is absolutely beautiful inside, and of course you can choose a princess dress if you would like. We chose to arrive in our own fancy dress, and the Fairy Godmother in Training took it from there!
We booked the basic package. So for 45 minutes, the Fair Godmother in Training transformed my daughter into a princess. First, she started by giving her choices of hairstyles. We went with the “diva” style, with the pink hair extensions down the back. After her hair was styled, she moved on to her nails. She painted her nails, and while they were drying, began applying make up to her sweet little face. All along, this is taking place with Natalie’s back to the mirror so she cannot see any of the transformation. That makes the reveal even that much more awesome!
After she finished her hair, nails, and makeup, she presented her with a princess sash. Finally, it was time to make a wish. Natalie was instructed to close her eyes, make a wish, while the Fairy Godmother in Training sprinkled her with pixie dust saying, “Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boo, may all your wishes come true.” And then…….she turned her around so she could see herself. Oh the squeals of delight!
We left with all the makeup and nail polish they had used on her, as well as a cute little pink cinch sack. I am glad we brought her own dress, and did the basic package, as it was absolutely perfect. I was very pleased with the value that came from this. Her hair lasted until we got home! We did this on our second day on our cruise, and it lasted until the following Saturday. I was SO glad. Plus, after being on Castaway Cay with her hair done, it was kind of wind blown. So, we went back to the BBB for a touch up, at no charge. And, they gave us extra pixie dust.
A quick tip, if you want to have a princess makeover, do NOT schedule your BBB appointment for the night of your Pirate Party. They only do pirate makeovers on that day/evening. But, if your whole family wants to get in on the fun, they do take all ages for the pirate makeovers!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the Disney Dream and Fantasy is a fun way to spend some “down time”, and look great for that evening’s meal!
