Classic Disney Vacation Countdown

To me, classic Disney is the black, white, and red of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  I do love seeing them in their various costumes, but I always gravitate back to their classic costumes.  So this year, I decided on that color scheme for our Disney Vacation Countdown.  I created this from all supplies I had on hand, and I have to say it’s one of my favorite ones I’ve made to date!

Supplies:

Picture Frame

651 Vinyl

Cardstock

Silhouette Cameo or other craft cutting machine

**Disney stickers will work as well

Alcohol & Cottonballs

Ribbon, clothespins, etc.

Using a basic Mickey or Minnie Mouse shape, cut out a head from black 651 vinyl.  I really like the 651 because it has a bit of a glossy finish to it.  I used a split head/bottom file of Minnie Mouse.  I also used it to cut out the “Days Til Disney” that I mounted across the bottom.  For this I used Waltograph.

Cut out 20 smaller Mickey heads out of cardstock.  And, using the Waltograph U Font, cut out the numbers 0-9, twice each.  I just used 631 vinyl for this.

Mount the numbers on the small Mickey heads.  Prepare your glass by wiping it with alcohol with the cotton balls.  Fill the background of the frame with white paper.

Using transfer tape, adhere the Mickey or Minnie head to the outside of the glass and the Days Til Disney across the bottom.

Secure the ribbon across the middle with some hot glue, between the frame and the glass.

Pin the small Mickey heads with the numbers to represent your Days Til Disney!
