Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom-Five Tips for Enjoying Your Visit

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom was one of our first character meals at Walt Disney World. It was a fabulous experience, so fun for the kids and adults, and the food was really good!  I’d like to share some tips with you, and a review, of the Crystal Palace.  It is one of the most popular character dining experiences at Walt Disney World.  It is the only location to meet all of your 100 Acre Wood friends in one place! The atmosphere is bright and airy, and it is such a happy location to enjoy a meal while at the Magic Kingdom.

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom-Five Tips for Enjoying Your Visit

*Like all character meals at Disney, this one requires ADRs, or Advanced Dining Reservations.  You can make these up to 180 days in advance of your trip. Thankfully, I was able to score a pre park opening breakfast for this one, giving us the time to get some photos on an empty Main Street USA. We like to get an early start, especially in Magic Kingdom, so this worked out perfectly. While this one is popular, I also find it is one of the “easier” ones to get a reservation for, particularly if you are flexible.  They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

*Character meals are typically buffets.  At the Crystal Palace, we had an 8:40 a.m. reservation.  The buffet was chock full of yummy breakfast foods.  The selection included bacon and eggs, Mickey waffles, pancakes, pastries, fruit and yogurt bar, and cold cereal.  They take your drink orders at your table, and refill them accordingly.  There is also an area for children to serve themselves at the buffet, but they aren’t limited to only those foods.  They can eat from anywhere on the buffet.  Even adults can help themselves to the children’s selections-I had a few too many Poohs Puffed French Toast…but it was AWESOME!

*At the Crystal Palace, you’ll find Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, & Piglet.  These characters make their way to each table, to visit with your family and sign autographs, and take pictures.  The whole experience takes about an hour.  We chose this restaurant because of the characters.  I like this one because I feel like it is a good group of characters for young children.  Also, there is something nostalgic about Pooh and his friends, making it a great experience for the whole family.

*The Crystal Palace has fun entertainment for your family. Every thirty minutes or so, Pooh and his friends lead the children around the restaurant in a parade.  It’s super cute! We have experienced this same type of parade at Akershus and ‘Ohana as well. I really like how Disney adds a small entertainment aspect to their character dining, to make it a whole experience-not just eating.

*The Crystal Palace Restaurant is located just off of Main Street, USA, in Magic Kingdom. It’s the perfect place to start your day with a breakfast buffet or take a break from the busy hustle and bustle of the park with a lunch or dinner buffet. There are so many great things to love about the Crystal Palace. It does take one credit if you are using the Disney Dining Plan. Also, if you happen to be paying out of pocket, it is one of the more reasonably priced character dining locations.

I would highly recommend you and your family try Disney’s Crystal Palace on your next vacation.

    1. They are so worth it. We like to see our favorite characters and get good Disney food.

  1. Aw how fun is this! I was born and raised in Orlando so when we visited the parks, we never ate at the restaurants because we’d bring sandwiches or go home for lunch and then head back to the parks. So whenever I get to go with my kids, we’re going all out!

  2. I have a trip planned in february and we have a breakfast booked at the crystal palace. I’m so excited about it because I love eeyore.
