Chocolate and Peanut Butter is my absolute favorite combination of all.  I am a sweet tooth girl, and if there is chocolate and peanut butter in the same vicinity as each other, I can’t walk away.  I even get a craving for it so badly sometimes, that you will find me standing in the kitchen with a spoon of peanut butter topped with chocolate chips.  I am obsessed.   I even have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to Peanut, Peanut Butter & Chocolate!  So today, I am going to share with you my favorite cookie recipe~Decadent Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies!

These are my favorite cookies for a lot of reasons.  First, the obvious flavor combination is something I can’t walk away from.  Second, they mix up so easily, and they are the perfect size.  They aren’t super huge, almost bite size and so easy to serve at parties or to keep on hand for your sweet tooth craving!

Ingredients:

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup butter, room temperature

1 cup brown sugar

1 egg

3 Tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

3/4 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips {I used the entire bag of them, so I put in more than 1 cup}

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

In your stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the sugar, butter, and peanut butter until well blended.  Next, add the egg, milk, and vanilla until fully incorporated.

Stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.  Add to the peanut butter mixture in the stand mixer.  Blend well.

Finally, put the mixer on low speed and add the chocolate chips.

Shape the dough into balls, and place on the cookie sheet.  Dip a fork into flour, and flatten the tops in a cross cross pattern.

Bake for 10 minutes, and let cool before placing on a cooling rack to cool completely. They may appear very soft, but they are perfect!

This recipe makes about 3-dozen cookies.  To fairly warn you, they are amazing and delicious right out of the oven!  Be sure to have a glass of milk handy, and be ready for your family to devour them right away!
