Disney’s Beach Club Resort Review

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is located along the Boardwalk area of Walt Disney World.  Literally steps from the World Showcase entrance to EPCOT.  I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get this post written-we stayed at Beach Club in June for our yearly trip to Walt Disney World, and we absolutely loved it!!!!  My sweet hubby had gifted me a Walt Disney World vacation for my birthday….or to be more precise, permission to book one LOL!  He has always wanted to stay at the Beach Club, and so Beach Club it was!  It was FABULOUS!

Upon entry to the Beach Club, you know you are in for a treat!  The lobby is spacious, gorgeous, and amazing!  Since we were staying at Club Level, I was escorted to the elevators and taken up  to the 5th floor-key card holders only-to check in.  We had never stayed Club Level before, and I knew it was going to be awesome.  Upon checking in, the concierge told me all about the Stone Harbor Club.  This is for exclusive use of Club Level guests.  We were able to enjoy a continental breakfast, light snacks, evening hors d’oeuvres and beverages, desserts and cordials everyday.  My husband sure loved his Kahlua and coffee every night!  Not only that, but we had access to a fully staffed concierge desk at almost all hours of the day to answer questions, check on reservations for us, and make sure our stay was nothing short of magical.  There were movies for us to check out for the kids, as well as kid friendly tv shows playing all day in the lounge.  What else did we love about the Beach Club Resort?

Location!  We walked out the main doors every morning to a fabulous view over Crescent Lake.  We loved walking around the Boardwalk and enjoying the shops and restaurants.  One night, I walked over to the walk up pizza window next to Kouzzina by Cat Cora to get some pizzas for a little dinner in our room.  On the way back, I could enjoy the fireworks from Illuminations at EPCOT.  Fab!  We walked to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios from our resort as well. In fact, walking to Hollywood Studios along the pretty path was faster than taking the boat.

Activities.  The pool, Stormalong Bay, at the Beach Club is the BEST pool on Walt Disney World property.  Our kids (and me too) loved the Lazy River along Stormalong Bay.  There was always a place to sit, and such fun activities going on poolside all day long.  The fun part about the pool is the sandy bottom.  So you really feel like you are on the beach.

 

Beaches and Cream.  Beaches and Cream is the soda shop style restaurant at Beach Club.  Their ice cream is to die for!  We scored a walk up table for a late lunch on our arrival day.  The burgers were amazing, and we also had salads that were great too.  The boys and I came later in the week, one day after Hollywood Studios, and stopped to get some ice cream treats.  I had a No Way Jose which was AWESOME!  And yes, I ate almost the whole thing myself!

Transportation.  Anytime I can get to the parks without riding a Disney bus, I’m a happy camper. Don’t get me wrong.  The Disney buses run well, the drivers are awesome, and they get you where you need to go. I will say, walking to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios was wonderful.  Also, since we had park hoppers, we could take the monorail from inside EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom.  One day, we did 3 parks in one day. So fun!  We did take the Disney bus to the Magic Kingdom one morning, and the bus ride was VERY short.  It was awesome!

Our room.  Our room was supposed to have a daybed in it, as well as two queens.  However, they didn’t have any rooms available with a daybed, so they brought us a rollaway.  That was totally fine.  Our room was spacious-enough room to park the stroller, two sinks separate from the shower/toilet area, and a nice balcony from which we could see Spaceship Earth.  Awesome!  One thing I LOVE about Deluxe tier resorts is how large the rooms are.  So nice!

Disney’s Beach Club resort is a wonderful choice for your family.  It is VERY family friendly, and is the home of Cape May-where you can have breakfast with Mickey and his pals or a seafood buffet for dinner.  They do provide so many fun activities-movies on the beach, sand volleyball courts, the fun poolside activities, and of course you can just grab a spot on the sand and enjoy the peaceful water.  If you are looking for a spacious, very family friendly resort in a great location, you will want to try the Beach Club!
