My daughter has a “full time” play with friends agenda. It seems like every afternoon and evening, we are out with friends in our neighborhood. The girls are playing, and the adults are socializing. Fun, right? Of course! However, my daughter also has very sensitive skin, and it’s under a lot of summer stress! Sun, sunscreen, dust, dirt, water….you name it, and her skin is exposed to it because she is outside so much. One thing she LOVES to do is ride her scooter with her friends. At any given time, there are at least 4 of the same color and type of scooter laying in a pile in someone’s driveway while the girls are playing in the yard. So today, I am going to share my simple DIY Scooter Decals with you!
Supplies:
Colorful 651 Vinyl
Craft Cutting Machine {I use a Silhouette Cameo}
Rubbing alcohol
Transfer tape
Scooters
Directions:
- Start by setting up your cutting software with your design. I chose her name and a simple flower design.
- Duplicate your flower. To do so, click on “Object” and then on “Replicate”. I chose Row of 4, and voila! I had three more flowers on my cutting screen!
3. Lay your vinyl, color side up, on the cutting mat, and feed it into your machine. Click on “Send to Silhouette”, and it will begin cutting.
4. When it is finished, remove it from your machine and weed out the excess vinyl until you are left with your name and flower design.
5. Clean the scooter handle with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Apply the name and flowers with transfer tape.
Super simple, right? This is a GREAT project for beginners. I also love it because it is a fun and easy way to learn how to use the “Duplicate” function on your software. Or, if you don’t have a cutting machine, you can cut the vinyl with a paper punch to create some cute designs as well!
Not only is she riding scooters, she’s laying in the grass, playing in the mud pile in the empty lot next door, and turning a cardboard box into a paint slip and slide. So at the end of the day, I am faced with a pile of laundry. That means, since I am doing laundry more often in the summer, I need to be careful about what I wash her clothes in so I am protecting her sensitive skin. Thankfully, I have all® free clear liquid or the all® free clear mighty pacs® on hand, ready to wash out those dirty clothes. And since we are being extra careful to take care of her sensitive skin, be sure to follow the package directions when using it as well.
This is not only perfect for my daughter, but also for my teenager who suffers from eczema. I need to be extra careful with my laundry detergent! And, all® free clear liquid is awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the National Eczema Association for having no dyes, perfumes, certain chemicals, and irritating residues.
Since I am trying to rid their clothes of allergens, such as cat and dog dander, dust mite matter, ragweed, grass, and tree pollen, all® free clear liquid that I find at Target, helps me do just that. So at the end of a long summer day, she can be comfortable in her favorite pajamas, and ready with her clean, favorite summer time outfit to wear the next day when she does it all over again! She’s free to her social butterfly self in the summer!
Will you be purchasing all® free clear liquid to clean your family’s clothes gently and effectively?
This is so great! I can’t wait to spruce up my son’s scooter! #client
