The Marvel Character dinner at Universal’s Islands of Adventure is a must for every Marvel fan! This unique character dining at Universal Orlando puts you up close with your favorite Marvel characters while you enjoy a great buffet meal.
Universal Orlando guests who want to get up close and interact with their favorite Marvel characters should book a dining reservation at Cafe 4! I am excited to share my experience at the Marvel Character dinner with you!
Marvel Character Dinner Overview
The Marvel Character dinner takes place on select nights. It is offered Thursday-Sunday nights, with the first reservation time being 5PM. The meal is served buffet style, and the characters visit your table for autographs and photos! This takes place at Cafe4, on Marvel Superhero Island in Islands of Adventure. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made in advance on the Universal Orlando site.
Characters at the Marvel Character Dinner
During our experience, we encountered several characters. We saw Spiderman, Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Wolverine, and Captain America dressed in a their 1990s era comic costumes. Character appearances will vary, but they do visit your table and sign autographs and pose for photos. This is a huge highlight of the meal! The character interaction is stellar, and I think it’s so fun how they interact. Since they are in character the entire time, they will chat with you, talk about super powers, and it’s so fun.
Dining Details
The cost of this Universal dining experience is around $53/adult and $30/child. This cost includes access to the buffet, one non alcoholic drink, and a free photo digital download.
The buffet is quite good! The dining and buffet areas are laid out very well. Once you are seated and your server has taken your drink order, you can begin helping yourself to the buffet. During our meal, our server was very attentive and the characters came around frequently.
The food is typical buffet food. It’s good-not over the top delicious, but I felt as if it was good for the cost and experience. You’ll find a good selection, and some allergy friendly offerings as well. The menu included:
- A carving station
- Herb roasted chicken
- White Cheddar Mac and Cheese
- Brisekt
- Plant Based Beef Stew
- Pork Shoulder
- Salmon
- Jasmine Rice
- Pizza {both cheese and pepperoni}
- Mini foods {hot dogs, grilled cheese, cheeseburger sliders}
- Desserts
Overall, the Marvel Character Dinner is a great addition to Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Guests who want to experience a unique dining experience while visiting the Universal parks should check it out! Families with kids will love this unique character experience at Universal’s Islands of Adventure!
