Peanut Butter Candy Bark
Peanut Butter Candy Bark-perfect for Halloween! The colors of this candy bark will look so great on your Halloween party table. If you’ve been following along on Pinterest, you’ll know that I have a Peanut Butter and Chocolate pinboard. Yes, I love the combination SO much that I dedicated a pin board to it! So, on that particular pinboard are several recipes for candy bark and other desserts using the most fabulous combination EVER! But, alas, I couldn’t find the recipe I thought I had pinned {that annoys me….you think you pin it, then you can’t find it!}, so I just created my own!
Ingredients:
*1 bag of chocolate chips
*1/2 bag of peanut butter chips
*1 ½ cups chopped candy-I used Reese’s pieces, Heath bits, Reese’s cups, etc.
Directions:
1. Line an 8×8 or a 9×13 baking dish with foil so the foil sides hang over the edge. If you use an 8×8, it’ll be thick, almost like a fudge. If you use a 9×13, you’ll have a thinner, bark consistency.
2. Pour the chocolate chips and peanut butter chips in a microwave safe dish. Melt them in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring each time until smooth and melted.
3. Pour the chocolate/peanut butter melt into the prepared baking dish, evenly smoothing it out.
4. On top of the melt, sprinkle/arrange the chopped candies evenly.
5. Refrigerate overnight.
6. Lift out the bark, flip over, and remove the foil from the bottom. Break into bite size pieces.
It’ll be good, out on the counter, for a few hours. But, to store overnight, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I think this is so versatile, and with the colors and flavors of melting chocolate out there, you could really make it for a party or the upcoming Christmas holiday. It is sooo good! It’s even fun to put some pieces in a cello bag, tie with a cute ribbon, and give to someone as a sweet treat.
What a great and scrumptious treats are these candy barks
