Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Pretzels

Peanut Butter and pretzels is one of my favorite snack combinations. Add a little drizzle of chocolate, and I’ll eat them all! These pretzels stuffed with peanut butter and dipped in chocolate are a fun, easy holiday party treat. They can easily be decorated in your favorite Christmas colors, and are fun to snack on!

Do you ever have a grand idea for a recipe, and it just goes out the window?  If not, you’re lucky.  That is sort of what happened when I got the idea for these chocolate dipped peanut butter pretzels. Initially, my plan was to use sourdough pretzels. I just thought they would look super impressive and pretty on a holiday plate-but as soon as I opened the box, I knew it was all over.  There was only ONE whole pretzel in the whole box~the rest were broken into pieces.

Since I knew it wasn’t going to work, and I wasn’t about to go buy every box of pretzels in hopes of salvaging enough to pull this recipe off.  As per usual, .I had some waffle pretzels on hand, as well as all the dipping chocolate I had planned to use for the sourdough version.  With a little creativity and pivoting of my plan, these cuties were created! These turned out beautifully for my Christmas treat table!

How to Make Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Pretzels

1.  Spread some parchment paper on your counter. Taking two pretzels at a time, make a peanut butter “sandwich” and place each sandwich on the parchment paper.

2.  Melt the white chocolate according to the package directions.  Dip the peanut butter pretzel sandwiches in the white chocolate.  Coat them well.  Lay on the parchment paper to harden.

3.  When the white chocolate has hardened, add the milk chocolate.  To do this, I tried to drizzle it, but I wasn’t getting the effect I wanted.  So I used my small silicone pastry brush to paint the milk chocolate on.  Working quickly, add the milk chocolate and sprinkles.  Be sure to add the sprinkles before the milk chocolate dries.  Otherwise they won’t stick.

4.  Keep in a covered container on the counter or in the pantry.

These little cuties will add some pizazz to your holiday treat table. The perfect combination of salty, sweet, and fun decorations all work together to create these fun stuffed pretzels.

Not a fan of white chocolate? Feel free to dip them entirely in the milk chocolate coating, and top with your favorite sprinkles!

Cool the pretzels in the refrigerator. This helps to firm up the chocolate so you can package them for gifts!
