Quick Service Dining Suggestions for the Disney Parks

Disney· Disney Dining· Travel

On many a Walt Disney World trip, our family has enjoyed not only the Quick Service Dining Plan, but we also prefer Quick Service Dining to sit down meals.  Don’t get me wrong… we love a good character meal and taking a break from the parks.  But, we have learned from years of touring the Disney parks that quick service dining works best for us.  We like to eat pretty basic food, the portion are huge so we can share, and truth be told….it gets us back out into the parks so we can keep enjoying the shows and attractions.

Each park has great Quick Service restaurants, and I’d like to share these with you today!   If you have been following along with the 31-Days of Disney, I have shared what our family loves about each park’s attractions and shows, and today it is the food!

Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park:

Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland-Their flatbreads are my favorite.  We get two or three to share amongst the five of us, and sit and watch the boats come in and out of It’s A Small World.  Plus, there is a lot of seating both inside and outside of Pinocchios, and the Castmembers will help you find a seat if it happens to be really crowded.

Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square-  We like this one because it gives us some variety from pizza, hamburgers, and chicken.  They have great seafood, and I especially love the shrimp.  I also like it here because on their upper seating area, you can people watch while you eat as they walk around Liberty Square.

Snacks at Magic Kingdom-  Am I the only one who could just snack all day at Disney?  One snack I really love is the Nutella and Fruit Waffle at Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom.  Mickey Ice Cream Bars are a hit with everyone in our family, and the Confectionary on Main Street USA has fun shaped cookies, Rice Krispie Treats, and other sweets that my kids like to pick out and bring home to eat.    Another one I love is the Citrus Swirl in Adventureland.  Call me crazy, but I am not a huge Dole Whip fan….I prefer the Citrus Swirl!  Plus, there are always the Mickey shaped pretzels from the snack cart in Tomorrowland!

EPCOT Park-  At Epcot, there aren’t a lot of quick service restaurants that I LOVE.  If I had to pick one, I do like the nachos from the La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion. This is a HUGE portion of nachos, and we love to share it.  I prefer to snack my way around the World Showcase at EPCOT.   I like to enjoy the German Soft Pretzel, as well as the warm caramel corn from Karamell Kuche in the Germany Pavilion.  My boys LOVE the Norwegian cinnamon rolls from the Kringla og Bakeri.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios- Disney’s Hollywood Studios, like Epcot, doesn’t have a lot of quick service restaurants that I absolutely rave over.  However we do find ourselves there with the need to eat.  that being said, the ABC Commissary is our “go to” place for a quick service meal.  And if we feel like leaving the park, we take the boat over to the Boardwalk area and get “to go” ice cream from Beaches and Cream.  They serve the No Way Jose, which is an amazing concoction of peanut butter, chocolate, ice cream, and lots of sweet goodness.  Definitely worth a trip over there for that!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park-The Flame Tree BBQ is super good, and I love their seating area.  Just around from the ordering area is a shaded place with picnic tables along the water.  You can watch the birds and animals on the water, and enjoy great meal!  I love their BBQ Pulled Port Sandwiches here.  As far as snacks, the Cinnamon Glazed Almonds are always a good treat for us at Animal Kingdom.    And, to keep it kid friendly, we find ourselves at Pizzafari quite often enjoy a meal.

Did you know there were so many quick service options at Disney?  And the snacks….oh the snacks!  What is your favorite?
