Rock Your Disney Side: Our Adult Only Trip to Walt Disney World
My husband and I just returned from our first “no kids” trip to Walt Disney World. Â It.was.so.fun!!!! Â It was a different kind of fun-we love Disney with our kids-but this was a hand holding, no stroller pushing, eat where we want when we want, and ride Dumbo together kind of fun! Â While I’m hanging out with the Disney Social Media Moms on the Road in Philadelphia, I’m going to share how my husband and I Rocked Our Disney Side!
We started our trip with a flight into Orlando on May 21. Â We took the Magical Express to Port Orleans Riverside, quickly dropped our bags in our room, and we were outta there for Downtown Disney. Â We roamed and shopped for a couple hours. Â I picked up my FAVORITE souvenir-a new Pandora bead for my bracelet-and then my eyes fell upon the Alex and Ani bracelets at World of Disney. Â I’m totally hooked-I left with one of those, too! Â And I have plans to get more!
After shopping and sending our packages to  our room, it was off to Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.  I totally love this resort!  We kind of stayed there a few trips ago, but then we had to move to the Grand Floridian {I know, first world problems} because our air conditioning wasn’t working in our room.  This resort is magnificent.  Absolutely breathtaking-and I hope we can stay there again someday!
Dinner at Whispering Canyon was SO good. Â We had Pork Spring Rolls and Red Quinoa Cakes. Â Plus my uber fun drink with a glow cube. Â Our server was Enrique-the last Puerto Rican cowboy-or so he said. Â He was hysterical! Â The atmosphere of Whispering Canyon is so fun. Â And the food was delicious! Â Post dinner, it was off to Port Orleans Riverside for the rest of the night.
On Thursday, we did 3 parks in one day! Â We started at Animal Kingdom with a quick Safari and ride on Expedition Everest. Â Then we hopped over to EPCOT for our FastPass Plus selections at Soarin’, Spaceship Earth, and Living with the Land. Â Plus, we enjoyed a FANTASTIC lunch at Via Napoli. Â It is a MUST do at Disney! Â Then, it was off to Hollywood Studios for the night. Â We did a few of our favorites-like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Backlot Tour, and tried to do Rockin’Rollercoaster, but it was shut down :(. Â Oh well. Â We walked the park a little more and then headed to Downtown Disney for dinner at Paradiso 37.
Friday was the BIG 24 hour day.  With all intentions of getting to the Magic Kingdom at 6AM, yea not so much!  We did breakfast a Kona Cafe-another MUST-and then hit MK around 9AM.  It was fantastic!  We had so much fun hitting all our favorite attractions and the wait times were so minimal.  We loved using Fastpass Plus.  The new Festival of Fantasy parade is FANTASTIC!  We rocked our Disney Side at MK all.day.long.  Until about midnight. We decided to call it a night, and headed back to Port Orleans Riverside for the rest of the night.
I can’t wait to share more with you about our Adult Only Disney Trip! Â Have you visited Disney sans kids? Â I’d love to hear about it!
Looks like fun! We’ve never been without the kids or grands. We take the grands each spring (was there a couple of months ago) and always have a wonderful time. I love just seeing the expression on the youngest grands (first time visit) face! Priceless!
Looks like fun! I don’t think we’ll make it without kids ever again, but I have been once in my early 20s with my family and it’s so nice because you get to see so much more. That said, I can’t wait to bring my sons.
