Royal Court Royal Tea Party on Disney Cruise Line is a magical way to experience the Disney princesses with your little princess!  Our family has had the privilege of enjoying the Royal Court Royal Tea Party on the Disney Fantasy. It was magical, wonderful, and totally worth it!

Royal Court Royal Tea Party is a magical way to experience your favorite Disney princesses on a Disney cruise!

How Do You Book the Royal Court Royal Tea Party?

Guests can book the Royal Court Royal Tea Party through the Online Check In Process via the Disney Cruise Line website.  This experience is offered on all of the Disney Cruise Line ships. I was up at midnight when our booking window opened, so I could be sure to get two spots at this experience!  It was offered on our day at sea, which was ideal! This made the perfect end to our sailing.  During the Online Check In Process, I also booked an appointment for her at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  The tea party was scheduled for 3PM, and I was able to coordinate her boutique appointment for 1:45. This gave us plenty of time to get her make over, take a few photos, and check in for our tea party!

The Royal Court Royal Tea Party is Magical from Start to Finish

When we arrived in our stateroom on the Disney Dream, there were two things waiting for our daughter. One, was an official looking scroll, with the details of the time and date of the tea party.  It was a special invitation!  Also, there was a card in our room. This told us to visit Guest Services so we could tell them her favorite princess. Her choices were Rapunzel, Tiana, or Cinderella.  Later, we would find out that they had prepared a cupcake especially for HER, fashioned after her princess of choice.

Where does the Tea Party Take Place?

The Royal Court Royal Tea Party was hosted in the Royal Court dining room, on Deck 3 of the Disney Dream.  We arrived about 15 minutes early, to check in.  Upon arrival, they gave her a little card to present to the crew member upon entering the tea party.  As soon as she handed them the card, they announced, “Welcome Princess Natalie of the Disney Dream”, as she entered the restaurant.  Upon arriving at our table, we found it set with snacks, goodies for her, and of course tea cups!

Royal Court Royal Tea Party Experience

At each little girl’s setting was an 18-inch Cinderella doll, a tiara, a jewelry box, a charm bracelet, charm necklace, various charms, and an autograph book and pen.  She was SO excited, and so was I!  These were such a great gift, and they made perfect souvenirs.  So, if you book this on your Disney Cruise, hold off on shopping onboard.   Your little one will get some very special gifts during the tea party!

As soon as most everyone was seated, we were introduced to our host and hostess, Lady Chamomile and Chef Brulee.  As they entertained us with song and dance, crew members visited our table to take our tea orders and fill our cups with the tea of our choice, or apple juice for the children.  They also brought us a tray of finger sandwiches and desserts, perfect to enjoy while we had our tea party!

As we were enjoying our tea and snacks, Lady Chamomile and Chef Brulee entertained us with special songs and dance.  Then, the princesses started arriving.  One by one, they were announced as their special song played while they entered the room. As each princess entered, she arrived with a basket of charms.  She visited each table, giving each girl a charm that was specific to that princess.  Then, they made a second round of the room, stopping for autographs and photos.

At the end of our time, we were able to have a special photo shoot with all 3 princesses as we left the Royal Court.  This was a very rare photo opportunity, but the fun didn’t end there!  That evening, as we made our way back to our room, we found something special waiting for us.  In our room was an 8×10 photo of my daughter and the princesses, placed in a nice black leather folder.  So pretty!

Is the Royal Court Royal Tea Party Worth It?

I have to say, this was quite the experience!  It was pricy, and I liken it to an enhanced experience at Cinderella’s Royal Table.   I am SO glad we did it, as it gave us something fun to do on our day at sea….and my daughter will not be in the princess stage forever!  I highly recommend it for your next Disney Cruise!  You will be so glad that you booked it!

  1. I have never done this but I have heard such good things about it. I know it is expensive but it seems worth it!

  2. Hi there!

Can you tell me if it was difficult to book? Were you a first time cruiser and there were still spots available?

We are planning to sail in 2022 and worried it will sell out before we even get a chance to book.

    1. Hi! I am so so sorry for the late reply! Booking the tea party, I was able to book that right when my window opened. We were Silver Castaway Club members at the time, so we could book a bit before first timers. I am glad to work with you on your 2022 sailing! I am a Disney travel agent. Feel free to email me at carrie@destinationsinflorida.com. Have a great day!
