How to Make a Seashell Wreath
Making a seasonal wreath for our front door is my favorite way to update our home. In summer, my mind goes to the blue water and palm trees along the beach. With so many seashells from past trips, I am going to show you how to make a Seashell Wreath for your front door!

It’s beach season here in our house! Â We are trading in our annual Walt Disney World trip this summer for a trip to Hilton Head Island with my in laws-yes, my in laws. Â I have the BEST in laws on earth, and I’m so looking forward to a trip to the beach with them-and making those “vacations with grandparents” memories for our children. Â Can’t wait! Â So on a summer afternoon, I created this Seashell Wreath with easy supplies I had on hand.
Making a seasonal wreath is an easy, budget friendly way to keep your home looking great at all times! I always have some sort of wreath on my front door. Plus, having a beachy feel to the house puts me in a good mood!
Supplies for a Seashell Wreath
- Foam wreath form
- Burlap
- Large Pins
- Hot Glue
- Seashells
- Small Welcome Sign
How to Make a Seashell Wreath
First, wrap your wreath form in burlap. I chose to secure this with large stick pins, so in the future I could possibly reuse the form and cover it with something else. Hot glue would also work for this.
Second, lay out your seashells and other embellishments around the wreath form. Arrange them so they fit well, and they are not hanging off the side too much.
Next, add your sign {if you have one} with hot glue. Then, start gluing the seashells and other embellishments on your wreath form.
Note: To create the “welcome” plaque, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a simple “welcome” to add to a bare wood plaque I had on hand. Â I distressed it, like the Distressed Crate that I have on the mantel. Â It turned out SO cute, and was a simple afternoon project. You can easily purchase a sign or larger embellishment to add if you need something to center your project.

Love the wreath! One of my favorite beach activities is finding great shells. We’ve been decorating with them too. I have a post up today with a sea shell specimen art. I hope you have a great time on your vacay!
I love that this is a way to save beach keepsakes!
