Sparkling Kid-Friendly “Sangria”
It is summer! Yay! We have been hanging outside and the Kool Aid and lemonade are flowing nonstop in our house. How about you? I like to have something a little more fun to drink with the kids for those afternoons when we are just hanging out on the new patio, playing with friends, and enjoying the sun. Plus, my mommy friends are often in the backyard, too. And even though we like a fun drink in the evening together, I’ve been serving this Sparkling Kid-Friendly Sangria, and it is a hit with everyone!
Ingredients:
1 Liter Sparkling White Grape Juice
1 Cup Cranberry Juice
1 Cup Orange Juice
1/4 Cup Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
2 cups thinly sliced oranges, lemons, limes
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
In a large, 2-quart pitcher, mix the white grape juice, orange juice, and cranberry juice. Add the freshly sliced fruits. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-hours. The longer it chills, the better it tastes. Serve over crushed ice with lemon or lime slices for garnish. My kids even love to drink it out of those plastic champagne or wine glasses just for fun!
Yum, right? You could even make a grown up version with some wine, vodka, etc to serve to the mommies while the kids enjoy the kid-friendly version!
