The Best Quick Service Dining Locations at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park has some of the most eclectic foods and experiences in the Disney parks. It’s truly a destination itself, and the food speaks to the culture and diversity that is represented at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The unique theming comes through in all of the theme park-even the food! So what are the best quick service dining locations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park? I have them for you below!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park took some time to grow on me. To be honest, it was often the park we would skip if we did not have park hopper, or if we only had 3-days of theme park tickets. Over time, my view on this park has changed drastically, and I have really come to love it! What I love overall is the immersive experiences and the theming.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park does have fewer quick service locations than the other parks-so the food is a bit limited in that sense. However, the locations located in this park have some of the BEST quick service dining offerings on Walt Disney World property.

My list of quick service dining at Animal Kingdom is not “ranked”. These are just my favorites, in no particular order. Let’s dive in!

Flame Tree BBQ. This used to be my favorite location in ALL of Disney property for Quick Service Dining. The smoked flavor and texture of every dish on this menu is amazing. This is also a GREAT value on the Disney Dining Plan, because the menu items are a bit on the pricier side than other quick service locations. However, the food at Flame Tree BBQ is divine.

Flame Tree BBQ only offers outdoor seating-which isn’t a bad thing. The scenery surrounding it is gorgeous, and it makes a nice and relaxing retreat during your day. You get a stellar view of Expedition Everest from this seating area! The Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork is one of my favorites, along with the Ribs and Chicken Combo.

Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe. This is a very popular quick service dining location at Animal Kingdom. Many love it because it offers similar menu items to the Table Service location, Yak and Yeti. But, you do not need a Disney Dining Reservation. Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe not only offers amazing Asian dishes, but even some “normal” American food if you have picky eaters. Even the “American Kobe Beef Cheeseburger” is a regular Cheeseburger with a themed, authentic title! Some may shy away from this location, because of the Asian menu, but you shouldn’t!

Satu’li Canteen. This quick service dining location has replaced Flame Tree BBQ as my favorite OVERALL Quick Service Dining location at Walt Disney World. It is amazing, and very popular with guests. Satu’li Canteen is located in Pandora: the World of Avatar. The highlight of this location is the option to create your own bowl.

You start with a base-rice, beans, salad, noodles, or a hash. Then you choose a protein and finally a sauce. The Chopped Wood Grilled Chicken Bowl is my favorite of these. They also offer the famous Cheeseburger Steamed Pods in Bao Buns. So good! But the star of the show at Satu’li Canteen is the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse. Topped with a passion fruit curd, this dessert is the entire reason to visit Satu’li Canteen!

Pizzafari. This has become my teenage daughter’s “go to” at Animal Kingdom. And while it is pizza, I am fine with that! Pizzafari actually has a decent menu if you do not want just pizza. This dining location does offer tasty pizza options. Alongside the pizzas, guests will find a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, salads, pasta with marinara for the kids, and the best Breadsticks ever. We do not eat at Pizzafari without an order of breadsticks!

One thing I really like about Pizzafari is the vast indoor seating. Plus, it has dedicated restrooms, making it a great spot to stop, rest, eat and regroup before going on with your day. It can be busy, so I recommend placing a Mobile Order and eating at an “off peak” time.

Overall, Animal Kingdom has some good dining options-both table and quick service. While this is not an extensive list of EVERY location, these are my top favorites. The food is good at all of these, they have a good variety on the menu, and each offers a nice experience.
