The Walt Disney World Resorts are destinations themselves, and are worth visiting for some great snacks! Of course you have the theming, the fun pools, water slide and play areas, and activities. Not to mention the smells! While all of these things make the Walt Disney World Resorts unique in their own way, one thing also stands out, and that is the food! There are so many snacks and fun foods that you can only find at the resorts! It’s worth visiting the Walt Disney World Resorts for a snack. Below you will find the best snacks at the Walt Disney World Resorts!
The Best Snacks at Disney’s Deluxe Resorts
Zebra Domes. Zebra Domes are these perfectly shaped domes you can find at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. These cute creations are a chocolate, cream liquor mousse that are covered in a smooth white chocolate. Then, it’s drizzled with chocolate shavings. They are perfect with a cup of coffee! A pack of 4 is only about $5, so they are reasonable and shareable!
Dole Whip Float. Now, before you tell me you can find these at Magic Kingdom, you are right! You can! BUT, you can’t have one at Magic Kingdom surrounded by tiki torches and the exotic music playing in the background at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! Not to mention eating in the gorgeous lobby while you take in all the smells and sounds! The one thing that makes the DOLE Whip Float at the Polynesian stand out is that you can get it with Rum. Everyone loves to pop over and visit the Poly, so you may as well plan on picking up this sweet treat and taking in the ambiance!
No Way Jose. You will definitely be saying “yes way” when your family asks if they can share this with you at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! This is one of those amazing, tasty, giant ice cream treats that you can easily share. Or, if you are like me, eat almost the entire thing with no shame! This is vanilla and chocolate ice cream, peanut butter and hot fudge, and chocolate morsels. Then it’s topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It is AMAZING. It is served at the Beaches and Cream walk up window at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You can get it at the walk up window, as well!
Conch Fritters. These are on the menu at Disney’s Old Key West’s Olivia’s Cafe. While Old Key may not be on your “must visit” list, it’s worth a trip over there to check it out and feel as if you are on a faraway island! Not only is Olivia’s home to the yummy conch fritters, but also their Buttermilk Chicken is to die for! The Conch Fritters are served with Key Lime Mustard…perfect for a tropical taste!
The Best Snacks at Disney’s Moderate Resorts
Key Lime Tart. The Key Lime Tart is at Disney’s Caribbean Beach. At this resort, you will find two flavors…jerk and key lime! While their Jerk Chicken Bowl is great, my personal favorite is the Key Lime Tart. This little piece of amazing flavor is the perfect end to a meal…or even a tangy pick me up treat for the afternoon. This treat would be a perfect stop on a “Skyliner Food Tour”…you can explore the resort and pick up some Key Lime! It’s key lime in a graham cracker filling, and then topped with a tropical sauce and a little piece of white chocolate. So good!
Watchos. This fun creation is found at Rix Sports Grille and Bar at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This waffle fry nacho creation is AMAZING. The crispy waffle fries loaded with a house blend queso blanco and topped with bacon and scallions is more a meal than a snack! Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is definitely worth the visit, and having some Watchos makes it even better!
The Best Snacks at Disney’s Value Resorts
Tie Dye Cheesecake. This is at the Everything Pop Food Court at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. You can easily access Pop Century via the Skyliner or a Disney motorcoach, so there really isn’t any reason NOT to hop to Pop to get some Tie Dye Cheesecake. This classic, and very colorful cheesecake, has the tie dyed cheesecake on top of a layer of red velvet cake. It tastes like classic cheesecake….not like a color combination. This is a fun twist on a cheesecake, and you can only find it at Pop Century!
Mermaid Cupcake. The Mermaid Cupcake is found at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It’s almost too pretty to eat! The beautiful Mermaid Tail Cupcake is a vanilla cupcake filled with pineapple and topped with a coconut buttercream. It is sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs, crispy pearls, and glitter. Plus, it has a delicious white chocolate mermaid tail! This pretty cupcake is found at the Landscape of Flavors food court.
Not only can you find these specialty foods at some of the Walt Disney World Resorts, it’s worth noting that many resorts are home to exclusive cupcakes and seasonal treats. These do change often, and while you are visiting the resorts, it’s worth asking about! Some resorts even have specialty caramel apples, too!
While you are taking a break from the Walt Disney World Parks, hop over to a nearby resort to enjoy some unique foods! It’s a nice break from the theme parks, and will give you a chance to try something unique you won’t find anywhere else.
