The Hardest Disney Dining Reservations to Get in 2026 (and How to Book Them)

Planning a 2026 Disney World vacation? If so, you’ve probably already heard that some dining reservations are tougher to snag than a spot in the front row of Fantasmic! Every year, a handful of restaurants become instant sellouts thanks to their unique themes, character experiences, and limited seating—and 2026 is shaping up to be no different. In this guide, I’m breaking down the hardest Disney dining reservations to get in 2026 and sharing smart, easy strategies to help you secure them before they’re gone. Whether you’re chasing signature meals, character favorites, or bucket-list-worthy dining, here’s everything you need to know.

Booking your Advanced Dining Reservations {ADRs} is one of the pinnacle points of planning the most magical Walt Disney World trip. When the window opens 60-days in advance of your arrival, it’s exciting to tackle your list of “musts”, secure the times and dates for your family, and have just a few more months to wait until you are experiencing the magic.

Disney dining locations have evolved over the years, making some restaurants more popular. Which means in the end, they are more challenging to secure times and ideal dates. With a little know how and strategy, securing these can be easy!

Disney World Dining Reservation Tips

First, be ready to book your dining 60-days from your arrival date. As your travel advisor, I’ll send you a reminder 10 days BEFORE your date opens, so you can have a plan and be ready! Logging into your account at 6AM EST is the first step in securing some of the most hard to book locations.

Plan the hard to get locations for the LATTER part of your trip. This gives you more windows of opportunity when it comes to meal times and overall availability. While you may be planning to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table on day 4 of your 7 day trip, booking it FIRST at 6AM on your date will give you the best results.

Have a Plan B. If ‘Ohana is not available for day 3, but it is for day 5, then be flexible and book it for day 5. Or, do you see a lunch available at 50s Prime Time when you really wanted dinner? No worries-book a lunch and then you have the rest of your day to park hop or enjoy Disney’s Hollywood Studios while also giving your family a nice afternoon break and a good meal.

The Hardest Disney Dining Reservations to Get in 2026

No question, there are some locations that are popular, have a smaller seating space, or just fill up quickly for whatever reason. If any of these are on your dining list, consider putting them at the middle to end of your trip, and book them FIRST when your day opens.

GEO -82 @ EPCOT

This location opened in June of 2025, and has been super popular ever since. At GEO – 82, evenings tend to fill up quickly versus the afternoon times. They do offer a new spot to watch the fireworks show at EPCOT, so this makes it incredibly popular for the evening time slots. Combined with the fact that it is adult only {21+ years} and themed after Spaceship Earth, the popularity is real.

Keep in mind that they do not offer a traditional menu, much like Oga’s Cantina in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So you will not get a full traditional meal experience here. GEO – 82 serves cocktails, wine, beer, and small plates.

If you cannot secure a reservation the following make good options:

  • Space 220 Lounge
  • La Hacienda de San Ange
  • Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers @ Disney’s Boardwalk

One step inside this restaurant, and you feel incredibly fancy. It is STUNNING, and definitely worth a visit! The decor, amazing smells from the bakery, and the beautiful creations makes it a must see when you are in the Boardwalk area. Since it is so new, it also means it’s popular!

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has some review that it is pricey, but the food is wonderful and the atmosphere itself is worth it. Reservations may become easier to acquire as time goes on, but at the moment it remains incredibly popular.

If you cannot secure a reservation for the Cake Bake Shop, these are some great alternatives:

Space 220 & Space 220 Lounge @ EPCOT

Yes, I did add Space 220 Lounge as an alternative to GEO – 82. But, Space 220 and Space 220 Lounge still remain incredibly popular, and definitely need a spot on this list. While it has been open for a few years, the theming is literally out of this world. Located next to Mission Space, you enter Space 220 and you are 220 miles above Florida to eat in the Centauri Space Station.

The Space 220 Lounge is found in the same area, and you still get the immersive experience of the elevator ride up the 220 miles. The lounge is popular because unlike the restaurant, it does NOT have a prix fixe menu and here you can find lounge exclusive menu offerings.

If you know this is a priority, then consider adding EPCOT as one of your last park days.

‘Ohana @ Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

‘Ohana has been around longer than any of these, and remains incredibly popular for both breakfast and dinner. It has a reputation for being difficult to snag a reservation at this location, and for good reason. That said, we often plan ‘Ohana for our departure day breakfast so we can get one more magical Disney experience in before we head home.

Breakfast at ‘Ohana features Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. Stitch especially has remained WILDLY popular with teens and tweens, and this is one of the very few locations to meet him. Dinner is served here as well, and if you time it right, you can get a nice view of Happily Ever After from your table. Dinner is NOT character dining.

Since both meals are served family style, this makes it also popular because there is no getting up to go to the buffet and there’s always something on the platters that everyone in your family will enjoy.

If you are unable to get a reservation at ‘Ohana, these are good alternatives:

Cinderella’s Royal Table @ Magic Kingdom

You are going to Walt Disney World, so in my opinion, eating inside the castle is a non negotiable. Having dined here multiple times, the character interaction has always been great and the food is quite good. It really does not get more magical than dining with the princesses inside a castle at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Even though it is a higher price point, and takes 2 table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan, it’s still a must. And, it remains crazy popular. Thankfully, they serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Serving all 3 meals definitely gives you more time to choose from if you are flexible.

If you cannot secure a dining reservation at Cinderella’s Royal Table, each of these would make a GREAT alternative.

Topolino’s Terrace @ Disney’s Riviera Resort

We have been to Walt Disney World I don’t know how many times since Topolino’s has opened, and we have yet to dine here. It is the only character dining experience we have not enjoyed! It is just SO popular, and I have the hardest time getting an ADR.

Mickey and Minnie are here for breakfast, along with Donald and Daisy. I think the popularity comes from a few things, mainly being that they are in their French artist inspired costumes. Also, the menu is incredible and unique. Both of those, combined with the atmosphere of the Riviera, and it’s a crazy popular location.

Dinner is fairly easy to book, but the breakfast is super popular and can prove to be difficult.

If you cannot get a breakfast reservation, and you want a unique character dining experience, consider one of these:

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ @ Disney Springs

It seems that some locations are just so hard to get, they keep making the lists. And this is one of them! Since Disney Springs is quite popular for arrival night dinner, Chef Art Smith’s has become one of the harder locations to book. Not only is their dinner menu fabulous, but their Brunch menu is stellar as well.

The Southern comfort food menu, and the fresh farm to table offerings from local Florida growers combine together to make this a fabulous dining experience.

There are quite a few good alternatives if you cannot secure a reservation for Chef Art Smith’s:

  • Olivia’s Kitchen @ Disney’s Old Key West Resort
  • The Polite Pig @ Disney Springs
  • House of Blues @ Disney Springs

Are any of these Disney dining locations on your list? If so, you will want to prioritize these and try to book them for later in your trip. Good luck!
