The Language of Disney

Do you speak the language of Disney?  Walt Disney World abbreviations are definitely a language of their own.  If you are in any Disney Facebook groups, you may see something like this:  “I have a pre RD ADR at CP.  Then, I’m heading to get FPs for BTMRR while riding PotC standby.  After this, we’re spending the rest of the day at MK, hitting the headliners.  We’ll catch the bus to DtD and then back to BC for swimming and dinner.”  Did you catch that?  If not, here is the translation:

“I have a pre-rope drop advanced dining reservation at Crystal Palace.  Then, I’m heading to get FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad while riding Pirates of the Caribbean standby.  After this, we’re spending the rest of the day at Magic Kingdom, hitting the headliners.  We’ll catch the bus to Downtown Disney and then back to Beach Club for swimming and dinner.”

Disney is full of its own lingo, much of it put together by Disney fans themselves. To help you out, and so you don’t get lost in translation, I’m going to share with you some of the more common Disney abbreviations.
