Cinnamon Honey Beer Bread with Cinnamon Butter
We love a good beer bread in our house. Â I make it a lot in the winter time, when my husband likes to have it accompanying his chili. Â It is SO easy, and while there are a lot of boxed mixes for Beer Bread out there, I prefer the homemade version. Â I like it because I always have the ingredients on hand, and I know exactly what is going into it.
One of the fun things about a beer bread is experimenting with different flavors of beer. Â Recently, for our small group Bible study, we set the theme for foods as Beer. Â It could be anything beer related, and I decided to make a Cinnamon Honey Beer Bread with Cinnamon Butter.
Cinnamon Honey Beer Bread:
3 cups all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons honey
12 oz Blue Moon Cinnamon Horchata Beer, room temperature
1/4 cups butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Â Grease a loaf pan {mine is 9″x5″x3″} and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients with a whisk. Â Make a well in the middle and add the honey and beer.
Using a wooden spoon, mix the beer and honey into the dry ingredients.
Melt the butter, and pour half of it in the bottom of the loaf pan. Â Add the bread mixture.
Top the bread mixture with the rest of the butter. Â Bake for 60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
While your bread is baking, whip up some Cinnamon Butter to top the warm bread!
1 stick butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Tablespoon powdered sugar
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and whip until smooth. Â I use my hand mixer to make sure it is all blended well together. Â Keep at room temperature, so it’s soft to spread on the warm beer bread!
