Cinnamon Honey Beer Bread with Cinnamon Butter
We love a good beer bread in our house. I make it a lot in the winter time, when my husband likes to have it accompanying his chili. It is SO easy, and while there are a lot of boxed mixes for Beer Bread out there, I prefer the homemade version. I like it because I always have the ingredients on hand, and I know exactly what is going into it.
One of the fun things about a beer bread is experimenting with different flavors of beer. Recently, for our small group Bible study, we set the theme for foods as Beer. It could be anything beer related, and I decided to make a Cinnamon Honey Beer Bread with Cinnamon Butter.
Cinnamon Honey Beer Bread:
3 cups all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons honey
12 oz Blue Moon Cinnamon Horchata Beer, room temperature
1/4 cups butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan {mine is 9″x5″x3″} and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients with a whisk. Make a well in the middle and add the honey and beer.
Using a wooden spoon, mix the beer and honey into the dry ingredients.
Melt the butter, and pour half of it in the bottom of the loaf pan. Add the bread mixture.
Top the bread mixture with the rest of the butter. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
While your bread is baking, whip up some Cinnamon Butter to top the warm bread!
1 stick butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Tablespoon powdered sugar
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and whip until smooth. I use my hand mixer to make sure it is all blended well together. Keep at room temperature, so it’s soft to spread on the warm beer bread!
