Peanut Butter Chocolate Drizzle Popcorn

Are you ready for the most awesome dessert, party favorite food on the planet?  If you’ve been reading My Favorite Finds long enough, you’ll know that Peanut Butter and Chocolate is my go to combo!  I mean, I even have a Pinterest Board dedicated to it!  This past Sunday, our dinner theme for Bible Study was Tailgate Foods.  I threw in some chicken wings, but then I made this awesome, fantabulous, superbly wonderful Peanut Butter Chocolate Drizzle Popcorn.  And because I love all of you so much, I’m sharing the recipe with you!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Drizzle Popcorn {from What’s Cooking, Love?}

Ingredients:

3 cups popped popcorn {I used fresh popcorn, but 2 bags of microwave will work too}

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup light corn syrup

3 tablespoons butter

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 bag Wilton Melting Chocolate Discs, milk chocolate flavor

Directions:

1. Heat the oven to 300 degrees.  Pop the popcorn, and place it in a large, oven safe container.  I like to use my big roasting pan.

2.  Over medium heat, melt the peanut butter, corn syrup, butter, salt, and vanilla until smooth and combined.

3.  Pour the peanut butter mixture over the popcorn and toss to coat.  Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes.

4.  Spread the popcorn on wax paper to cool.  While it is cooling, place the melting chocolate discs in a microwave safe bowl.  Microwave, on 50% power, for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each increment.  Repeat until smooth.  Drizzle the chocolate, or pour it over the popcorn and toss to coat.  Allow the popcorn to remain on the wax paper until the chocolate hardens a bit.

5.  Store in an airtight container.

Oh stars!  This is fabulous, and so addicting!  Package it up in a cute cellophane bag, and tie it with fun ribbon for a great hostess gift over the holidays.  Or, for Christmas gifts!
